Login
Visit app.examroom.ai to log in to the Candidate Console. You can also go to examroom.ai and click Login in the top-right corner of the page.
If you already have an account, please enter your credentials (provided to you via email) and click Login.
After logging in, a 6-digit code is sent to your email. Enter the code in the Authenticationcode field and click Submit to access the console.
If you haven’t received a code, click the “SecurityVerificationUnavailable?” option available above the submit button (This step only applies if enabled by your exam sponsor).
Take an Exam
On the Candidate Dashboard, under the UpcomingExams section, click StartExam.
Note: The start exam button will be enabled only 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
If you have not installed the Examlock Lite extension, here you will get a pop-up to install the extension before proceeding to start the exam. Please ensure you have installed and are ready to proceed with your exam.
Click the Click here link provided on the pop-up to install the extensions to the browser.
Now, the Extension window opens to add the Examlock Lite extension. Click Add to Chrome.
Click Add Extension to confirm, enabling your browser to be exam-ready for the fair proctoring session.
Note: You can uninstall the extension as soon as you have completed the exam.
A pop-up confirmation shows up that Examlock Lite has been added to your browser.
If any other extension is detected, ensure to disable it before proceeding. You will see a dialogue box to uninstall your other extensions. Click Uninstall if you receive the notification to uninstall another extension.
As you click Uninstall, disable/remove all other extensions from the Extension window at the time of your exam session. Use the toggle to disable your other extensions.
Note: After completing the exam, the Examlock Lite extension will be automatically uninstalled. Also, you can follow the same steps as above to visit the extensions section and remove it after your exam. You may also enable/install your other extensions on completion of your exam.
Once the extension is installed. Click the StartExam button again and proceed.
Review the Acknowledgement and click Okay to proceed.
After acknowledgement, the Examination Rules appear. Review and click Next to proceed.
Review the TermsandConditions. After reading, select the checkbox to agree to the Terms and Conditions. Then, click StartExam to begin.
System Check
After clicking StartExam, the system automatically checks your device readiness by verifying your hardware, software, browser, and network configurations.
Click the View icon next to the Hardware Configuration heading. The system displays the camera and audio status. You may follow the on-screen instructions to verify these configurations.
Click the View icon next to the Network Configuration heading to view the audio and video bitrate levels.
Now, in the control panel, select the checkbox and click IAgree to provide consent for recording and AI/ML proctoring.
Onboarding
When you click, "I agree", a pop-up will appear for screen sharing. Choose the Entire Screen tab, then click on the preview screen for the entire screen within that tab, and proceed by clicking Share.
The status in the control panel shows waiting for the onboarding agent, and once OBA is connected, you will be able to see them in the control panel.
Now, as the OBA begins your ID verification process, a consent message will be displayed in the control panel to provide consent for the face verification.
Select the checkbox and click Iagree to provide consent for your face verification.
As directed by the OBA, look directly into the camera while a photo of your face is taken.
A consent message will be displayed in the control panel to provide consent for the ID verification.
Select the Checkbox and click Iagree to provide consent for verifying your ID.
Your ID verification has started. Hold your photo ID in front of the camera and wait until the OBA verifies it.
Now, to begin the process of Room Scan, the OBA triggers a QR Code display on your screen for you to scan and open the app on your phone, and place your phone as suggested by the OBA so they can see your entire testing area, including your computer.
Next, select the checkbox and click "Iagree” to provide consent for a room scan.
Follow the room scan procedure as directed by the onboarding agent.
Once the face, ID, voice, palm, signature, and room scan verifications are completed, you will be transferred to a proctor.
As the OBA initiates the transfer process, you will be provided with exam rules to go through. Click Next after reading the exam rules to go to the exam instructions.
Proctoring
After being connected to the proctor, the test console screen will appear. A pop-up will prompt you to enter full-screen mode. Click Okay to continue.
When the test login screen appears, please wait for the proctor to fill in the Access Code, Exam Key, and Candidate ID fields.
Contact Proctor: You can contact the proctor using the chat at any point during the exam. Click the side arrow icon to open the Control Panel.
Click the Chat bar at the bottom of the Control Panel to open the chat box and send a message to the proctor if you need assistance.
You will also be notified if the proctor drops a message to you.
Click to open the chat box and reply or send a message to the proctor. The chat option will be active throughout your exam session.
Once the proctor enables access, review the Welcome screen to confirm the exam details, including the total number of questions and the total test duration.
At any time during the exam, click the Arrow at the top of the screen to open the proctoring drop-down menu.
In the drop-down menu, review the remaining proctoring time displayed at the center.
Select the Information icon to view exam details.
Select the Raise Hand icon to contact the proctor during the exam.
Select the Wi-Fi icon to check your network connectivity status.
Click Finish Test to complete and submit the exam at any point during the session.
Click Start Test to begin the exam. The exam timer starts immediately after you click Start Test.
Once you begin the exam, the top section of the screen will display the Exam timer (Time Remaining) in the center, along with the number of questions, your Candidate name, exam name, unanswered questions, and questions answered.
On the right side of the screen, click the Double Arrow icon to expand or collapse the Widget Toolbar and access the available tools during the exam.
Note: At any time during the exam, you can click the Side Arrow icon on the right-side bar to open the Control Panel and use the proctor chat to message the proctor if you need assistance.
In the Widget Toolbar, you can use the following options (availability may vary by test sponsor or exam):
Flag: Select Flag to mark a question and revisit it later.
Summary: Select Summary to view an overview of the exam, including answered, unanswered, flagged, and commented questions. You can click on the question numbers to quickly navigate between questions.
Comments: Select Comments to add notes to a question. You can review your comments later and use the exam summary to view all commented questions.
Reference: Select Reference to view any reference materials provided for the question.
To answer a question, carefully review the question on the left section and then write your answer in the response section on the right.
Plus or Minus icon: Use the (+) Plus or (-) Minus option to zoom in or out on the question for readability.
Format Toolbar: Use the standard formatting option at the top of the response section; it will help you format your reply effectively.
Click Next to save your answer and move forward. Click Back to go back (if allowed by your exam type and sponsor).
Once you answer all the required questions, click the Submit button provided at the last question or click the End Test button to submit your responses.
When you click Submit/End Test, a pop-up will appear asking if you wish to end the test. Click Submit test to submit your exam.
A confirmation screen will appear, indicating that the exam has been submitted. Click Proceed.
Also, a pop-up appears, indicating that your exam has been completed and is awaiting the proctor’s confirmation. Click Okay, and once the proctor ends the exam, you will be directed to your dashboard.
